Unlucky Numbers

Six cards are shown to each have a number drawn on them. A seventh card which has "IOU £100" written on it is added to the pack and you explain that you will give your victim 6 chances to get the IOU card and thus the money. The cards are mixed up and cut by the spectator who then gets to turn over 6 random cards, if they turn over the IOU card they win the money.  Tension builds as one after the other cards are turned over until 6 are face up, all showing number cards. The spectator has lost, one card remains face down and this is freely shown to be the money card.

You now give a second spectator a chance to win the money. You hand all the cards to him and ask that he give them a thorough shuffle. He now places the cards face-down on the table in a completely random order, nobody can possibly know which card is which. He chooses six cards for himself and slides over a single card for you. One at a time he turns his cards over, all turn out to be number cards. Finally you turn over the card chosen for you to show the money card.

No false moves or sleight of hand, this trick is so easy to perform.
