Can your spectator beat the odds of 132,600 to 1 using intuition
Bicycle brand gimmicked cards - just supply your own blue backed bicycle deck
You explain to your helper that intuition means having the ability to understand something instinctively without the need for conscious reasoning, and you would like to try a little experiment using intuition.
You bring out a blue backed deck of cards and then show your spectator three face-up cards taken from a red backed deck. Your spectator must use his intuition to find the matching cards in the blue backed deck.
Your helper shuffles the blue backed deck thoroughly then cuts it into three piles on the table. He now decides which of the face-up red backed cards should go next to each of the piles. You tell him that the chances of the top card of all three piles matching the red backed card placed next to it are 132,600 to 1, but hopefully his intuition will have paid off.
The top card of each pile is turned over but sadly none of them is a match for the face-up red backed card next to it. Your spectator has failed......or has he?
You tell your spectator that you didn't actually want his unconscious decisions to be swayed by knowing the value of the three red backed cards, so perhaps he should tale a look at the back of these cards.
On the back of each red card is written the value and suit of a card - amazingly what is written on each matches exactly the top card of the pile that it has been placed next to. It truly must have been intuition.
This is an amazing self-working effect where the gimmicked cards do all the work. No funny handling or difficult sleights.
The spectator really does shuffle and cuts the deck where he wants. He has a free choice of which pile he places each red backed card next to.
